El Tago~ Ive been tagged!!!:)

8 things about me-

1. I am very clumsy. I fall ALL the time and I don’t have to have any alcohol in my system to do it. There was one time I fell off the curb at school during lunch and it was bad enough that I actually pulled ligaments in my ankle. The only thing was my friends couldn't’t tell if I was hurt because I was half crying half laughing. My friends soon realized I was in pain when they noticed my ankle had swollen up and now had a goose egg swelling the size of a baseball. So my be
st friend tried to flag down the campus “watchdog” Bernice who drove around on her golf cart all day trying to catch ditchers. All I remember is Christy trying to flag her down as she just zoomed right passed me lying on the ground crying. She must have spotted a ditcher or something which is a much higher priority to the Clovis school district then injured students.

2. I'm the youngest of three children and I am the only girl. Can you say spoiled? I didn’t get to watch much TV when I was younger because I was too busy following my brothers around trying to do everything they were doing. They hated having a tag-a-long on course.

3. I hum or sing ALL the time!!! I always have! I used to drive my brothers crazy with my bad habit. They would beg my parents to make me stop. My parents just told them to be quiet because they believed I would become a famous singer one day and make them all rich. Funny ha ha! That didn’t happen!!!

4.I love ice cream. I could live off of it and oddly enough, I'm eating ice cream in most of my childhood memories. I used to insist on eating for breakfast which didn't go over well with my parents.

5. I hate watching football, I would rather watch baseball. But I would still go to all the FSU games just so I could spend time with my friends. I just made sure to clap and cheer when they did even thou I had no idea what was going on. And they got to laugh at me when I would cheer for the wrong team on accident.

6. I used to play the clarinet but volunteered to switch to the brass section to play the baritone/euphonium when I found out baritone players were needed. But I had an alliterative motive…I really switched because I was tired of being in the all girl section and wanted to go hang out with all the boys in the brass section. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I'm a little boy crazy!!

7. I do weird things in my sleep. I clench my jaw which makes my lips pop out. My friends like to refer to this as duck lip syndrome because it resembles a duck Bill. My friends like to embarrass me by taking pics of me while I'm sleeping just to show me how bad it is. And like that wasn’t embarrassing enough, I also talk in my sleep. Ive been known to sit up in bed and say something off the wall like, “use your Jedi powers!!!” or “Darian ! Andrew! Knock that off!”(I used to work at a daycare and those were the two trouble makers).

8. I love being in the OR. Scrubbing in on surgeries is something that many of my loved ones couldn’t imagine me doing and I wasn’t completely convinced that I could do either but I made it through school and now made it through internship and I can finally say I finished something and have found what I should be doing with my life and i love it. Ive been done with my clinical for two weeks now and I'm dying to get back in the OR!!!

I'm gonna add one more cause I'm on a roll -
I want to be like my mom when I grown up. My mom is crazy and we fight more like sisters than mother daughter but she really is my inspiration. She has been through so much in
her life and always makes it through. I can only hope to be as strong as her “when I grow up”

I just want to give thanks to all of the warm, wonderful welcomes I received from my first post. I'm looking forward to sharing creative ideas and laughs with all of you!!!:)

Well, I spent the weekend unpacking all of the boxes I was avoiding in my bedroom. It turned out less painful then anticipated. I kept finding all of my unfinished projects. I forgot to tell you all that on top of being domestically challenged I also have a nasty little habit of not finishing anything that I start. You wouldn't believe what I found! Skirts, scarves, and blankets that are all half completed! I think its time for me to try to sit down and finish one thing at a time! Ill share pics of all of my incomplete projects once I find that darn cord that transfers them to my computer for me!!!

I am also happy to announce that I made banana bread this weekend. That's right Christy, I swear I did! And I did it all by myself! But I have to admit that I cheated a little. I used one of those pre-made, throw in the milk and go packages. Its not like the real thing but that is an achievement for me. It didn't stick to the pan and it didn't spontaneously cumbust into flames.

I was browsing through a poster website this weekend and found the picture posted above. I would love to design a room around this picture. I just need the funds!:)

I'm off to Sacramento tomorrow to deal with school stuff. Should be fun to catch up with my teachers and peers.

Hi! My name is Bethany and I am NOT domestic or crafty in any way, shape, or form. I am joining this blog to try to absorb some domestic abilities from other more domestically blessed individuals. But mostly, I am joining this blog to keep in touch with my wonderful best friend and second mother whom I miss very much!
